RAVEN SERIES; Limited to 8 pieces / Brandt Allen For decades I searched for a visual language that felt true. In time I discovered that black was not absence, but depth— a place where light, texture, and silence could speak. The Raven series marks the beginning of that discovery. Each work is part of a journey toward restraint, presence, and the quiet power of form emerging from darkness.

Her Garden : Whispers, Limited to 10 pieces / Brandt Allen This Series explores a single garden as it shifts through light, season, and emotion. Moving from the openness of morning into the density of evening, and from the renewal of spring toward the quiet weight transfer of winter, each painting captures a moment within space that is constantly changing yet remains the same. The layered marks interwoven lines suggest growth, connection, and unseen forces that shape both nature and human experience. There is no fixed beginning or end—the garden continues beyond the painting, evolving with time, memory, and the enduring presence of love.

Desert Garden Equinox, eight piece series/ Brandt Allen Desert Garden : Equinox reflects an internal landscape rather than a physical one. Living in a sparce and often uninspiring environment, I found unexpected growth through sustained creative work. The “garden” represents that inner cultivation, while the “equinox” acknowledges the ongoing balance between light and darkness—struggle and progress—that exists simultaneousley. The work comes from a point of equilibruim”

Receding Light: A Seven Piece Sequence, / Brandt Allen The work traces a gradual movement from fullness toward absence. Across seven artworks, light does no simply disappear— it is pressed, divided, diminished, and finally extinguished. The sequence was shaped by the idea of two lives altered by forces beyond there control—separation, distance, and irreversible change. What begins in completeness slowly yields to pressure, until only what remains after loss is left to speak. The progression from white to black is not only visual, but experiential. Each piece marks a threshold—a quiet shift in condition rather than a single dramitic event. The work asks viewers to move through the space as the light recedes, becoming witnesses to a transformation that cannot be undone. while the series emerged from reflections on love, conflict, and lasting weight of human consequence, it is not intended to describe on specific story. Instead it offers a structure through which viewers may recognize there own experiences of change, separation, and what endures after something essential is gone. What fades is not only light. What remains is not only darkness.

CRAFTED FROM DECADES OF MATERIAL EXPLORATION, MY WORK TRACES A MOVEMENT TOWARD EMERGENT MININALISM—A LANGUAGE THAT FORMS THROUGH REDUCTION, PRESENCE, AND MATERIAL DISCOVERY. The journey begins with RAVEN, dence and textured, where black becomes both surface and depth, confronting weight, memory, and the act of formation itself. From that gravity grew HER GARDEN, where structure loosens and organic rhythms take hold— growth and fracture, renewal unfolding through layered material and gesture” ECHOES turns inward, quieting, and letting form remember what came before. DESERT GARDEN widens the space, allowing light, stillness, and environment to shape the work. IN RECEDING LIGHT, form approaches disappearance. Only traces remain—— edges, tonal shifts, moments arising from silence. Together, these series map a continuous process of distillation: from mass to atmosphere, from gesture to presence, from construction to revelation. The work does not simplify for its own sake— it uncovers what remains when excess falls away, where material, light, and time meet in quiet equilibrium.
