Évanescence / Remi is a 5 piece sequential series / “2026”

Évanescence and Remanence are conceived as a single installation exploring the threshold where perception begins to dissolve while presence endures. Across the five panels of Évanescence, physical form gradually yields to atmosphere, inviting the viewer to complete what the eye can no longer grasp. As texture recedes and the rings expand beyond the boundaries of the canvas, the work shifts from constructed object to perceptual experience. Placed nearby, Remanence offers a quiet counterpoint. A solitary fly, rendered on an otherwise empty field, reminds us that even when form fades and certainty diminishes, life remains. Together, the two works invite viewers to consider that disappearance is not always absence. Sometimes, as perception becomes less certain, awareness itself becomes more profound.
