These are paintings that do not describe the world as we know it. This series imagines the world as it might be if our senses were free to wander beyond their ordinary boundaries. Here color possess flavors, sounds, and aromas. A blue orange may reveal a taste of pink. A purple cloud may carry the aroma of green. Red may be heard as it quietly devours light. These works are not illustrations of impossible things. they are invitations to experience them. Working in an intentionally restrained visual language, each painting offers only enough information for recognition before dissolving into atmosphere. Rather than completing the image, I leave space for the viewer’s own perception to finish what has begun.
